Ilsa Wynne—Hoelscher is a highly awarded Australian photographer, film director and publisher.
Ilsa has built a deep foundation from which to create meaningful narratives through considered processes guided by her own instincts. Her artistic language developed from a young age immersing herself in practices across various fine art formats and higher education. Her deepest inspiration was born behind the lens and within a tactile and collaborative environment.
Her technical and creative approach spans a skillset in photography, filmmaking, and creative direction, and is aligned with her driving desire to create artful visual stories, informed by research and personal experience. Stylistically her work is delivered in a distinctly soft and explorative aesthetic that is fluid across all her projects.
Ilsa’s work has been awarded, published and exhibited globally including her first photobook (NUÑEZ, ‘23) showing at the V&A Photography Centre, London. The photobook has also been added to the National Art Library (London) and will be permanently accessible to researchers, curators and the general public She has just published her second photobook (12 MOONS, ‘26) with recently founded publishing house Look Both Ways.
Ilsa is available worldwide for commissions, collaborations, licensing, exhibition, requests and education.
